Interior Design
Participants develop color samples and material design boards that communicate a cohesive interior design. Entries include a documentation portfolio and design boards, followed by a semifinal presentation and interview.

Tiny Living, Big Impact
A nonprofit organization is developing a Tiny Home Community for young adults transitioning into independent living. Design the interior of one model home to maximize comfort, storage, functionality, and affordability within a limited footprint. Include a living area, kitchenette, sleeping area, bathroom, workspace, and storage. Demonstrate multifunctional furniture, universal design, sustainable materials, efficient circulation, creative storage, and residential lighting design. The material budget is $28,000.

Format
Preliminary judging evaluates the design boards and documentation portfolio. Semifinalists have 20 minutes for setup, presentation, interview, and removal of materials; up to two members may present.
